Vertical Carousels are one of the fastest & most efficient technologies available for picking, packing and order fulfilment operations. These high density storage devices save space and increase productivity by bringing parts and components to the order/command of the picker or assembly worker. Carousels enhance product storage density, security and picking throughput.

General Description of Vertical Carousel

Vertical Carousel
  1. Overhead Light - Built in lighting system is activated automatically when the "On" key is pressed.
     

  2. Touch Screen - Everything can be easily accessed with the press of a button.
     

  3. Controls with Fire Suppression - positioned in the front bottom of the machine, a suppression system is implemented along with the controls to extinguish quickly and efficiently, right at the source.
     

  4. Mobile Posting Board - Work surface can be adjusted to a standing or sitting position, providing an ergonomically correct work height for all workers. Meets ADA Compliance for Accessibility.
     

  5. Automatic Door - Door can be automatically closed during movement for safest operations. Contents can be securely locked up between uses.

Mechanical Components of Vertical Carousel

General Structure

The structure of carousel is mainly composed of 8 parts: frame, drive, transmission,  operation, storage device, electric control cabinet, automatic door and exterior panel.

Framework

The main frame material is made of high quality cold-rolled steel plate bending and welding structure, with anti-rust spraying treatment on the surface. The whole machine is supported by the left and right frames as well as the whole frame which is connected by each connecting beam.

Drive & Transmission

The speed reduction motor is driven by variable-frequency inverter The Chain track combination is the main carrier, and all chain wheel teeth are high frequency quenched.

Tray

The tray is made of high quality cold-rolled steel. The tray has an overall welded structure with a blocking edge at the front to prevent the material from accidentally slipping. High-pressure electrostatic spraying on the surface of the bucket, wear - resistant and anti-corrosion.

Maintenance Door

There is a safety maintenance door under the front of the container for equipment maintenance and for removing small items that may fall.

Automatic Lift Gate

Made of cold-rolled steel, surface spraying, Anti-dust, anti-theft and noise reduction.

Workstation

The working table is made of 304 stainless steel

Main functions of the control system

Electrical Control System

The electric control system consists of three major parts: the actuating element, the lower computer control and the operating terminal. Accepting operation local or remote instructions, the control carousel runs smoothly at high speed according to the specified path. Real-time collection and monitoring of equipment operation information to ensure efficient and reliable operation of the equipment. The working model can change to online automatic, stand-alone automatic and manual operate models.

Permission management, through the setting of passwords, to limit the use of different users' rights.

The system uses a superior algorithm to achieve automatic selection of the best path.

Precise positioning the tray.

Serial communication to complete the data transfer between the computer and the PLC.

With safety protection device and alarm signal, it can automatically stop and alarm in case of emergency.

Reserved for computer communication connector, can achieve network control.

PLC controlled.

Driven by inverter, achieving stepless speed change of tray. Soft start and stop. 

The system will automatically alarm when the front and back side tray in the cabinet are overloaded and exceed the specified value.

Touch screen, easy to operate, real-time display of alarm information.
